I'm a cocky guy (you gotta be to blog about stupid people when you make your own stupid mistakes daily!). But I'm not so arrogant as to think I've heard of every popular culture item in existence. Case in point: this past week I overheard the following conversation. "What's the name of that band? Oh, well, I've never heard of 'em." It wasn't an "oh, I guess I'm not familiar" comment. It was a "well, if I don't know who they are they mustn't be worth a damn" type of comment. If you are the dismissive, self-obsessed, all-knowing swami who thinks your opinion is the be-all-end-all of pop culture, you deserve to have your teeth forcible removed with a ball-peen hammer.
